Baby Preparations

August 25th is arriving faster than either of us ever imagined! Where in the world has the time gone? As our due date approaches, it is easy for me to become overwhelmed with the many preparations left to be made for the baby's arrival. I could have a list longer than my forearm of things yet to be done, rearranged, organized, sold, bought, cleaned, made, etc. And then of course comes the question of money...where in the world is the money going to come from for diapers, wipes, curtains, baby bedding, crib mattress, breast pump, etc. Thankfully, we belong to the God who owns the cattle on a thousand fields, the God who clothes the lilies of the fields. God my Provider will provide all my needs, even the silly little ones like diaper wipes. And the most beautiful thing of it all is that He has already provided it for me before I even know about it! He is not surprised, He is not caught off guard. More importantly than that though, His provision points to His love and mercy, which brings Him glory. Sadly though, even though I know all these truths, I still find myself anxious, stressed, grumpy, and overwhelmed with all these tiny, insignificant details. Pray for me that I will cast my cares on God, and leave them there.
