Changing the World One Diaper at a Time

This is my new life motto: "Changing the world one diaper at a time."

On Halloween night this year, our family participated
in our church's Halloween ministry of cooking hot-dogs and hamburgers and giving them away to trick-or-treaters. The ministry takes place at peoples' homes in various neighborhoods...it's a really great way to build relationships with people you'd otherwise never meet! Well, Joe, Mia, Noah and I all went to help. As I nursed Noah, changed his diapers, fed Mia dinner, played with Mia, etc., my husband was busy sharing the Gospel with numerous individuals. On my home I began to feel kinda jipped....like I didn't really get to participate in the ministry portion at all....all I did was take care of our kids. But then I realized something very important. Without me doing what I did, my husband would not have been able to do what he did! The Gospel went out Halloween night because I changed Noah's diapers and fed Mia some dinner. The Gospel went out Halloween night because I was faithful in my own sphere of ministry, which enabled my husband to be faithful in his sphere of ministry.

So I tried to remember that today as I was mopping up the
remains of an overflowing toilet in Mia's bathroom and soothing Noah to sleep...again. Thank You Jesus for my "ministry".

Mia's first ever trick-or-treating...she couldn't believe people were giving her candy!

Mia's first ever pony ride!
