Birthday!

I am so blessed to be celebrating my 28 year-young birthday today! The Lord has been so incredibly gracious to me, and has blessed me in so many ways. I love where I am in life, my husband, children, but most importantly, my God. As I reflect on this past year, I remember that my last birthday was celebrated in Kenya...and that God-willingly, my next birthday (and many after) will also be celebrated in Kenya! It's hard to imagine how quickly life can change, or what may lie ahead. Sometimes people ask me if I am worried about our future in Kenya...the safety, the unknowns, the hardships. I take comfort and peace in knowing that my life, my times, my future are in God's hands. Not a capricious, distant God either... "The LORD your God is in your midst, a Victorious Warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will renew you in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy." -Zephaniah 3:17 So I greet this next year with joy, gladness, and resting in Christ. Bring it on!
