Chimichurri Sauce and Chapati Bread

Mombasa, Kenya
Buenos Aires, Argentina

So in an effort to be more mission-minded in our family, we are exploring in tangible ways the cultures of different countries. Joe brought home some dvd's from seminary made by missionaries in Shanghai, Kenya, and Argentina. To compliment the dvd's I have made an Argentine dinner and a Kenyan dinner. We have also put a world map up in our dining room. I have a feeling though that the ethnic foods I've made are.....not so ethnic. I have a picture in my mind of someone half way across the world thinking, "Let's make some real Texan food tonight" and then finding some random "Texan" recipe on the internet (like I did) that ends up being something like Wisconsin Moose Stew. Oh well, at least in our minds we are eating real ethnic food!! Last night was Argentina night and I made flat-bread pizza with a black-bean paste and chimichurri sauce. Tonight is Kenyan night and I made chapati bread and sweet-pea soup. Authentic? Who knows....at least we're trying though!! Here's the recipes in case you're interested...
